HFAW strives to ensure that right owners (communities) are aware of, and are able to demand, their rights; and the right givers are sufficiently engaged, own and participate in the process. In each one of HFAW trainings we have included a component of human rights where we raise awareness and share information about what human rights and women’s rights are all about—such as right to sexual pleasure, right to own land and property, right to be economically empowered, right to choose a marriage partner to name a few. When people are aware of their rights, they can strive to advocate for them.
