Jane serves as Chairperson to the Board of Directors. She holds Masters in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies Bachelor of Arts, Counseling Psychology and currently works as a Counselor at University of Nairobi, Kikuyu Campus. Jane has strong credentials in her community work and affiliations. She Started women, men and children’s support group for rape and domestic violence that has and become effective, successful and run concurrently once every month. She designed a counseling record and data keeping system in 2006 at Gender Violence Recovery Center at Nairobi Women’s Hospital for achieving set goals and working in one’s own initiative. She successfully lead a team of counselors in offering psychosocial support to survivors of Post Election Violence in Internally Displaced People camps in Nyanza Province and submitted a report on the same within the expected period. She coordinated the management of VCT kits and Comprehensive Care Centre Program (CCCP) on HIV Adherence counseling, discordant couples and HIV/Aids prevalence in GBV cases in Westland (Nairobi County, 2007-2011). She also worked in psychosocial Debriefing to initiate peace after the 2007 Post Election Violence to Cooperate Managers of NHIF, AmBank & British American Insurance, Sports Team, KRCS staff and volunteer. Jane was a Counselor in Nyanza Province (Kisumu, Kakamega and Busia Counties in 2007-2008). She implemented the inception of GBV Program Office in 2011, at Kenya Bureau of
Standards-(KEBs) in South C Branch and Unilever-Nairobi. She created awareness of GBV through Media (Luo-Ramogi, Family & Citizen T.V) and Newspaper writings (Standard and Nation). She also gave Psychosocial Support Training/Facilitation on Gender Based Violence done in various regions in and out of Kenya; Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Eastern Province, Central, North-Eastern, Uganda and in Juba, Southern Sudan.
