Joyce coordinates all the logistics associated with the grassroots (rural) Borabu Sub-County projects.  This mother of six has unwavering passion for transformation of rural women’s lives beginning with her own. Joyce is a role model to many rural women as she is one of the rare women in the village who has refused to allow “circumcision” of her 5 girls despite the formidable challenges living in a community where virtually everybody values the practice. She has worked tirelessly to end this harmful traditional practice. She has undertaken trainings in community health, HIV prevention and puberty issues. Joyce is a secreetary of the grassroots committee which is instrumental in community involvement in all HFAW projects. Joyce is one of the 6 HFAW staff who has taken the popular education strategies training in Chile in 2014. She holds a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
